Work Community Is an Asset

While working at the hair salon, heard stories about the problems of work communities in the care sector. He was afraid in advance how he would cope in difficult work communities. I haven’t been in such a situation. I have experienced in each of my workplaces that the work community has been an asset. Every time I’ve changed jobs, I’ve been sad to see my wonderful colleagues stay at the old place. My husband has comforted me that the people who have become important will stay in my life, if it is meant to be.
There have been big changes in workplaces, for example a private nursing home has been sold to a large company. Changes are stressful for many. I approach changes in such a way that they always also bring something good. If you can’t adapt to the new situation, the care sector is full of options. It’s better to make moves in life than to stay complaining. That’s why he has already worked as an occupational health and safety representative and deputy shop steward during his career as a family nurse.
I want to be informed about the employee’s rights and obligations. Everyone should know them. For example, you have the right to refuse overtime. They only bring up bad pay, labor disputes and the burden of work, and nothing is said about the positive aspects of work, even though there are many of them. For example, you can constantly train and develop at work. I also enjoy working in a team with different people. Nursing work is suitable for a social person.
These two professions support each other. Meetings with customers at the hair salon are usually happy. They brighten up my everyday life. Working there now feels like a hobby, but the taxman always reminds me that it’s not, he says with a laugh. There are five generations of us, so we had to come up with a name to call ourselves. My 96-year-old grandmother is a mamma, my mother is a grandmother and i am a bath. I asked his relatives if the title is protected. I got permission to use the name.
Feels that her years of work experience as a barber-hairdresser has given her some knowledge for nursing work. Knowledge of people, presence and listening are the basic skills of both professions. Reliability and confidentiality are self-evident. When a person sits on the hairdresser’s bench, he relaxes and may open up. With some clients, i have shared life’s joys and sorrows for decades. It goes without saying that i don’t pass on things i heard in the hair salon.
