Tricks to Avoid Traffic Jams
Being stuck in traffic is one of the worst things in the world, especially if you’re an impatient driver. Who in their right mind wants to sit behind hundreds of cars when they have somewhere they need to be. I don’t think you can completely avoid traffic jams for the rest of your life, but there are definitely a few hacks to avoid them as often as possible, and we’re going to look at them now .
Use the smartphone app
I’m sure you own a smartphone because almost everyone does, but are you taking advantage of the great traffic apps available right now. There are apps built around communities, and when someone gets into an accident, they can report it, and the app will let you know where the accident happened. They even give you alternate routes instead so you can get where you need to go without hitting long lines.
Avoid driving in bad weather
If the weather is terrible outside, the chance of accidents is much higher and knowing your luck, you’re likely to be stuck in a ten car pileup that turns out to be someone spun on black ice. If you can avoid driving in snowy and icy conditions, you don’t have to worry about what you’ll encounter when trying to get somewhere. Of course, there are times when it cannot be avoided, when you should try to leave a little earlier.
Be more careful
We can’t talk about ways to avoid getting stuck in traffic without mentioning your own driving, because if you’re a reckless driver, you might cause the accident in the first place. Unless someone is dying and you’re trying to get to the hospital as quickly as possible, you need to learn to relax when driving because it’s not a race and you’re trying to get to your destination faster, it’s not worth being delayed for hours because you accidentally hit another car.
Be careful with the police
You’ve probably noticed that the police like to sit in the same places all the time with their speed cameras. When they do this, the traffic obviously moves a lot slower, and if there is a lot of traffic on the road, it usually leads to a certain amount of congestion. Try to avoid the roads you know they usually sit on and you won’t have a problem. I would also like to point out that you shouldn’t do anything to force them to pull you over, as that will slow you down as well.
Hope these tips save you
As i mentioned before, it is impossible to avoid traffic jams forever unless you are the luckiest person in the world. If you’re an average person like the rest of us, your best chance of avoiding them is to follow the tips we’ve talked about today, but if you do get stuck on one, just remember that it’s not the end of the world, even though it might feel like it at the time.
